Hold on a minute. You are not related to this child in any way, shape or form. He is not your nephew and you are not his aunt. He is George Pickering, you are the soon to be Mrs. Birn.
So.... calling a dog your son is OK, but calling a friend's kid your nephew isn't? OK... Anyhow, congrats to the Pickerings.
I think that the aunt-uncle-cousin-nephew-neice thing is odd too if there is no blood relationship.
Oh well. NL you will always be unkie Birn in my heart.
It isn't odd at all! I love my non-blood-related aunt and uncle very much, and they are aunt and uncle to my child[ren] as well.
